In the Star Wars 80's arcade game, what happens if you refuse to destroy the Death Star?
On easy?
Say you destroy all other targets?

The planet you are protecting is destroyed.
@filmfann The rebel base on planet Yavvin? Do you know for sure? Is there a YouTube video showing it?
Do you have a reason to think it’s not just the same as when you miss the exhaust port – i.e. you lose a shield?
Then it starts over at the beginning of stage 3 (trench run).
When you lose all shields, GAME OVER.
I have a book somewhere that has most such details for nearly all 80’s arcade games . . . I’m not sure where it is right now, but it can probably be found on the Internet somewhere.
Or, asking on arcade stack exchange will no doubt turn up an answer.
Should you fail to hit the exhaust port, a shield is lost and the player must attempt the trench again.
If you manages to destroy the Death Star without firing at anything but the exhaust port, a bonus is awarded for using the Force.
If you destroy the Death Star without firing anything, you become a Wookie in real life.
If you fail to destroy the Death Star you must play 2 consecutive years of “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” Atari 2600 game.
