How funny do you think it is, that trump is not getting a jury trial in his fraud case, because his lawyers forgot to ask for one in their filings?

Lawyers -> you get what you pay for. Trump has a reputation of stiffing his lawyers, you get the bottom of the barrel.

Keep in mind that his lawyer has already been sanctioned and fined in a different case.

I saw on the news that he was complaining that the charges were filed under the Consumer Protection law, which doesn’t entitle it to a jury trial.

Very funny, though I’m not sure it’s accurate.

I have read speculation that it was a calculated gamble, hoping for a right-wing judge, and fearful that NYC would be unlikely to result in an impartial Trump-lover on the jury, which sounds more likely to me than the joke.

Trump’s legal positions themselves are hilarious enough.

Not to mention that recent judge’s ruling roasting Trump alive.

The judge prefaced thing stating both sides have a right to a jury trial, and they know it, but nobody asked. It is a matter of checking off a box on a trial form. And yet Trump’s lawyer complained about her error.

Alina Habba neglected to check the box on the form requesting a jury & that’s why 45 keeps her!!! Now she’s arguing with the court that it’s their fault which is what 45 wants…create more chaos!!! Due to the type of trial it is, it is normal to not have a jury trial; so even if she had checked the box, he might not have gotten his jury. I’m already hearing his followers raising hell because he isn’t getting a jury. Now we ALL know, if the judge was ruling in his favor, there would NOT be one complaint about not having a jury trial!!! I would possibly find it funny IF 45 wasn’t using this to restart his insurrection!!!

And now the Judge has issued a gag order stating “no more comments on my staff.”

My conspiracy theory is the lawyers were afraid 45 would try to get jury members killed, so they chose a non-jury trial.

@zenvelo Trump said this morning that it’s under 63–12, he’s not entitled to a jury trial, and it’s not a matter of someone not checking a box on a form. His words (I saw him say it).

@jca2 Yes, I am aware of his belief, but he is lashing out in ignorance. The judge made it clear that he could have had a jury but the attorney failed to take the option.
