Just left work and about to celebrate ( heavily with food and drinks ) with a friend the fact that Jim Jordan failed to get the House Speaker position. For good we hope!

Two American hostages being released, but knowing so many other people are still being held as hostages it’s not really a celebration.
I clicked on your question and before I read your details I was going to say the same thing! And in a secret ballot, apparently Republicans voted 112 to 86 against him continuing as nominee!
That today I had a basal cell removed from my temple and they didn’t have to go very deep or wide. The scarring should be minimal. I wasn’t supposed to but I had a glass of wine.
That I got home from a tiring day in the rain and spent the evening watching movies in my bathrobe.
And also Jim Jordan who is definitely out of the running!
That nothing happened to my house. There was a big flood that lasted for days and it was so bad that schools were closed. Our house was so high up that we didn’t feel the impact.
I celebrated the fact that my Covid fatigue is fading by throwing 9 baskets of disc golf. (I wasn’t up for a second 9, but we did go to a new brewery)
Tomorrow is Honolulu Pride, and I’m marching in the parade in drag.
My DIL finished her first week on her new job and it went well. YAY
We got our Covid boosters today, but they were out of “senior” flu vaccine so we’ll have to go back for that.
My birthday. It was highlighted by BLT’s, a movie and some good sex.
@Caravanfan But I got a great BLT AND good sex. I didn’t have to choose!
@jca2 Thank you. I really don’t get all that excited about birthdays anymore, but if it is a reason for a BLT and sex, I can get excited about it.
@janbb Clearly, you’ve never had a BLT made with fresh sourdough bread, farm grown local black russian tomatoes, and fresh bacon… :-)
