What do you put on top of your christmas tree?

I don’t have a christmas tree anymore, haven’t for years. I miss them.

Hot fudge, nuts and whipped cream No Christmas tree but a sundae would be great.

I haven’t had a Christmas tree in a number of years now. We didn’t get one while I was living at my mom’s house taking care of her and there’s really no good place to put a live tree in my latest apartment. And I don’t want an artificial tree. To me that just defeats the purpose. But years ago, when we were kids, we had this pretty basic, but nice looking metal star that we put on the top of the tree. And then, at some point my sisters convinced my mom to buy this round tree topper that plugged into the string of lights and lit up, but I didn’t like it because I wanted to keep the old one because of tradition. Years later when my mom went through all the Christmas decorations and divvied them all up to us siblings, I wanted that star and I still have it. So maybe one day I’ll get a tree and then I’ll put it on top.

I don’t have a Christmas Tree, but if I did I don’t think a tree has to have a topper, I don’t think I would necessarily have one. I have seen some very pretty stars that have multiple points, like 8 or 12 like a round ball almost. I definitely would not have an angel or a 5 pointed star. My tree would be very secular and not sure if I would do a theme or a hodge podge of meaningful ornaments.

I love Christmas trees. We have about 100 around our community in recreation centers and outside in our town squares and each one has a different theme. I can’t remember if they have toppers, I’m going to pay attention to that now.

When I put up a tree I had a huge bow on top with its ribbons hanging down. I don’t put a tree up anymore.

This year it is a red star. The angel I used to put there has disappeared.

The recreation center that I was in today had a bird house at the top of the tree. The tree was decorated in birds, bird houses, butterflies, snowflakes, various colored balls. Under the tree were gift boxes wrapped in blue Chanukah paper and also plain silver. Lol. That particular rec center is decorated in pink and green and white and many floral patterns on the wallpaper and chair fabrics.
