If southern border security is so important to Republicans ,why would they block funding for it?

Because they are trying to make the Democrats look bad. They figure if they block the bills that need to be passed for the border issues, then they can blame it on the Democrats for not getting it done.

For the exact same reason they didn’t fix it to their satisfaction when 45 was president. They want to make the Dems look bad so they block them at every turn & then blame them for the outcome!!!

It’s their Good Ole Playbook. The reality is they know they need immigrants for their rich friends who fund them and they know it’s expensive and know voters will get mad at the costs because our taxes will go up but not for their rich pals. When Trump was offered the money he wanted for the wall by Dems in exchange for just leaving those on the path to citizenship alone, the Republicans said no way. Then the Dems even backed up more on that and were giving them everything they wanted and again Republicans said no. They need the border to be a talking point. It gets them votes. Without it as the boogie man they won’t get votes. They are dishonest about what they want to do. They just want to make it look like Dems are reckless with border security. They don’t want to close the border nor do they want the big ole bill that will come with it. The truth is they want to cut back on cost everywhere so they and their pals who profit can continue to do so.

These packaged deals include more funds for Ukraine & Israel, which Republicans are leery of without corresponding budget cuts.

@KNOWITALL the 2 links I provided didn’t say anything about additional aid to Ukraine or Israel.
At least I didn’t see any mention of it.
What I don’t get is why either side isn’t screaming it from the roof tops, Republicans we would gladly except funding for border security but not more aid that the Dems want to slip in for Ukraine, and Israel.
Democrats WE are trying to address the border issue ,but the Rep/cons keep blocking any funding we put forth .type thing why are they not screaming this from the roof tops??

A good question. Why are actual facts so hard to find? Maybe the MSM would prefer you to be ignorant. They’ll always get your vote if you only listen to one side, after all. Usually it’s a bit more complicated than a headline but people are lazy.
