Noonish. Depending on what is on the radio or TV.

When I retired, I STOPPED living by the clock. I went to bed when I got really, really sleepy. I got up when I woke up. Now if I have a doctor’s appointment or anything else important, I do set the alarm on my phone to make sure I’m up in plenty of time to get there on time. If I have no where to be, I still don’t look at the clock to determine my sleep pattern. Some nights I fall asleep at 7pm other nights it’s 1 or 2am. Some mornings I’m awake at 4am. Other mornings it’s 10am. This comes in real handy during the time change because I NEVER lose or gain any sleep time!!! I’ve set my phone to go into do not disturb between the hours of 9pm to 9am so NOBODY is waking me up when I’d rather be sleeping. If they don’t leave a message it must not be important so I can’t know to call them back.

I don’t like staying in bed any later than 8am, but occasionally don’t get up until 9. It makes me depressed and lethargic to stay in bed any later. I make sure to be in bed by 11pm.

Unless you have an appointment, go to bed and wake up when you want.

Whenever one wants!

I’m not retired, but when I’m on break from school, I go to bed when I’m tired and wake up whenever I naturally wake up. No clocks.

I suspect I’d do the same if I was retired.

When-you-want o’clock is the perfect time to wake up.

What’s “best” for some is not going to be best for others.

Do what works for you.

I love sleeping but….I get up between 5 am and 8. 8 is late. No alarm tho.

I don’t allow myself to sleep later than 9:30 because I do have to have three meals a day because of my diabetes and if I eat breakfast any later, then that really throws the rest of my meals off.

On my day off, I tell myself that I can sleep that late if I want, but what I really like is when I wake up around 8:00 or 8:15 and feel totally refreshed and ready to get up. I just feel like I can get so much more stuff done in the day! Honestly, I would get up earlier if I woke up earlier but I’m a night owl so that really doesn’t happen.

I’m retired and it’s so nice not to stress about having to wake up at a certain time and jump out of bed in the cold and dark, and rush to gulp coffee and jump in the shower and have that awful commute to work. I don’t always sleep straight through the night – sometimes I’m up for hours in the middle of the night, and then go back to sleep anywhere between 5 and 9, for an hour or two or three. Some nights I go to sleep around 12 or 1 and when I wake up around 6:30, I’m awake for the day but I might not rush to drink coffee and run out the door. Every day is different, and the lack of stress about waking up is what I like best about not working.
