Has anyone tried the adjustable eyeglasses?

No. I remember adjustable and foldable eyeglasses from my childhood but haven’t seen or heard of such a thing in many years.

I’ve seen them advertised, but I haven’t tried them…yet!!! I’m going to WAIT to see what happens IRL to those using them. I fear that dialing in the wrong setting could lead to further eye damage & I don’t need that problem!!!

About 20 years ago I had to get progressive lenses (I would not want bi-focals). Adjustable glasses would not work for me, I would be constantly adjusting them.
