Astrophotography and bluegrass banjo
Reading and talking about books. It was only part of my career as a librarian, the other part was connecting people and information which is pretty satisfying too.
Various detailed work like counted cross-stitch and beading. Making cool items out of basically unattractive objects. Basically…crafting.
Taking things apart, washing them and reassembling them. I once took a vacuum cleaner apart as much as possible (not the motor), washed everything in the tub, then reassembled it. I routinely take fans apart and clean them. They last so much longer.
Editing – wish I had pursued it as a career when I was younger.
No, I haven’t discovered my purpose, but I can find fulfillment.
Making art, that includes various things like drawing, stories, crafts, embroidery…
Making other people happy.
The latter one is my career, as a teacher. I try my best to improve the life of every student I come in contact with. I may not always succeed, but at least I try.
Back in the day, I was all about boats and books, I managed to work in both areas a lot, I was fortunate.
I feel like I have lots of passions, but I love to problem solve and I love helping people. I think that has always been a part of each of my jobs that I’ve had through life to some degree or other.
At my current job I don’t get to problem solve as much, unless it’s just figuring out how to do my job more efficiently. But I definitely get to help people!
