I find it interesting that there was a chocolate shortage around Valentine’s Day then everything was fine. Now that it’s Easter, there’s another shortage!!! I can live out the rest of my life without eating any chocolate!!!
I do not eat that much chocolate anyway, so no.
No. If I want some, I’ll get it. If not, I won’t.
Not in a huge way. I’ll probably buy less generally. Expect the chocolate percentages in the 2024 candy formulations to go down, though.
I buy so little chocolate, the shortage and price change won’t be noticeable.
I buy chocolate very infrequently. Usually at Christmas and Easter, and on occasion if I am hungry I will buy something like Peanut M&Ms.
I’m really not a big fan of chocolate ice cream or chocolate cake. Once in a rare while, otherwise, no thank you.
I can’t think of how it would affect me negatively.
Maybe I can make my own chocolate in a bathtub, and sell it on street corners to people.

There’s nothing that can’t be improved by the addition of chocolate.

I guess I’ll just have to pay more for my “shrinkflated” chocolate bars…as I have consistently since the 1950’s.
If I recall correctly (Mandela effect notwithstanding), in the 1950s each 5 cent Hershey bar contained 1.25 oz. of milk chocolate. I looked up the price and size at Walmart and found a 1.55 oz. bar at $1.17.
It’s especially suspect, since holiday candy is manufactured weeks, if not months in advance. My mother worked in a candy factory, and they made Easter candy in January.

I like white chocolate, too, which I am totally aware that it’s not actually chocolate, but I am happy with it in lieu of regular chocolate.
@jca2 White chocolate (the good stuff) has cocoa butter and is even more expensive.
