I don’t think most animals are as stupid as humans, they might glance but if it hurts their eyes they wouldn’t continue to keep staring.
I’ve read that all these memes going around about pets and the eclipse are not true since animals have been surviving eclipses for ages.
They have no reason to. They know nothing about the sun, moon and simply accept that it’s getting twilight at an odd time.
Plus they are all smarter than trump, even down to the tiniest mite.
@Caravanfan and I discovered that wild animals are pretty smart when we went desert camping. Animals were hiding out from the heat, while the dumb humans were trying to hike in the desert DURING summer!
It’s not really a problem.
No one has ever observed any animal in any environment looking directly into the sun with open eyes. Except in caves or the deep ocean, nature tends to eliminate blind individuals quickly. Animals catch on, and avoid behaviors that reduce their survival.
For the same reason an animal doesn’t look at the sun any other time.
Oh, and just a typo in your question. It’s “zoos”, not “zoo’s”
Same way they tell them it’s the perfect time to mate; they don’t.
Well see, there are these special glasses with slits in them. The zoos even have to hire extra personnel to equip all the animals during an eclipse. Penguins don’t like the glasses.
@chyna, and that is the idiot your country wants for president.
I don’t even live in the states and it scares the crap out of me.
@SQUEEKY2 – that’s what the loudest 20% want for President. Let’s hope there will be more votes and Electoral Votes in Nov. for his opponent.
I don’t want him @Squeekster!
