Why is Lieutenant-General a higher rank than Major-General?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24986points) April 29th, 2024

It seems counter intuitive.
Seeing that Major is a higher rank than lieutenant?

@smudges Sargent major. Explains the error.

I ask questions that bother me at night.

My problem is that I don’t usually check for answers to other questions beyond Fluther.

I usually watch lots of news, and YouTube videos, and from my day to day activities arises questions that I can’t answer.

I’m using Fluther for socializing and to improve my grammar and writing style, and to answer those questions that pop into my mind all day.

Also I can help others without getting a license to practice in my province.
