I was thinking of changing my Colorado trip by one day to take the NOAA tour. What do you think? Have you done it? Do you think it’s more interesting for kids? Sometimes science tours are targeted towards young people.

I would visit if it was a rainy day. I wouldn’t change my plans for it however.
That said, it would be fascinating.
If you do go, keep in mind that the front plaza of the NOAA building is where they filmed the final scenes of the Woody Allen movie Sleeper, where the supreme leader’s nose was flattened by the steamroller.
It’s worth the trip just to see the old Cray supercomputer repurposed as a couch
I’d rather have an extra day breathing that amazing mountain air and being in nature. But those are my preferences. Some people would appreciate a slower-paced day, indoors. I’m sure there are cool things to see at the NOAA building, the problem is that it’s competing with some really breathtaking alternative adventures. For me it might be an interesting backup for a rainy day. I hope you guys have a great trip!
It sounds very interesting and I would love to see it if they could bring it over here. But if I ever go to Colorado there are many other things I’d like to see.
I think this is a decision to be made by you and only you. Be guided by your own interests.
@gorillapaws It’s just 2 hours, so plenty of time to be outdoors that day.
