What did Kamela Harris say about school busing during the 2020 Democratic primary?

Asked by LostInParadise (32098points) 1 month ago

There is a story I read that said that when he ran in the primeary, Biden was opposed to using busing to solve school integration problems. Kamela Harris said that she was bused to school as a child. Then the story said that Harris lost the lead she has in the primary largely as a result of this. I don’t understand that.

I believe this chronicles that debate and the topic to which you refer. Here is the complete transcript for what was said. If you search on the word “busing” it comes up pretty quickly. It’s about halfway down the page. Now the question is, did she actually have a lead in the primaries?

This gives a little insight into her campaign during that time. That exchange with Biden garnered her some recognition, but she quickly fizzled out after that.

I don’t remember Jack, Harris ever said or did. Positive or negative.

@MrGrimm888 I believe it’s because her voice is so annoying, it’s instinctual to block it out. She always sounds like she’s on the verge of crying and slightly hysterical, just makes me cringe.
