Or will he wait til after the election to change it…again?

Who, who are you? (The Who)
He’s had four different names that we know of in his lifetime.
I suspect next time it will be JD Trump.

According to the NY Times, his Mom named him James Donald & as she remarried she changed it to James David because he HATED the name Donald & his nickname was JD & she wanted to preserve that. Every time Mom remarried, he garnered a new last name as well. He finally took his grandparents last name when he became of age because he was tired of changing names.

@smudges His Mother changed his name or that’s his claim in his book. I have NO plans to read his book & I’m only taking the word of the NY Times that this is accurate. I’m also assuming that his account og his childhood is accurate…which I seriously doubt!!!

I’m guessing his grandmother’s last name was Vance, and so since she played such a big role in his life, he took her last name to honor her?

@jca2 Yes, it was/is Bobbie Blanton Vance.

Before I knew who he was, I watched Hillbilly Elegy because I’m a big Glenn Close fan. It was a good movie and I’m betting it was pretty accurate – maybe some minor changes.

One podcast I was listening to suggested he go by “Jimmy Vance”. (“Jimmy Vance is like ‘I want to sell you this Cadillac’”).
