Is Germany Islamaphobic and are they suppressing religious freedoms?
I found this article that talks about Germany raiding mosques and banning certain Islamic beliefs in the country.

To my knowledge yes. Right-wing nationalism is not unique to the United States of America.
I wouldn’t call Germany Islamophobic, it has accepted large numbers of refugees in recent years many of whom are muslims. However there has been a reaction to this notably in the form of Pegida, (German: Patriotische Europäer gegen die Islamisierung des Abendlandes), a growing movement opposed to what it sees as the Islamification of the west.

You know the answer, @seawulf575 but you are trying to make some abstruse point.
There is a sizeable minority in Germany that supports the AfD party, (Alternatives fur Deutschland) which is a vicious right wing, conservative, populist, anti-immigrant party that also doesn’t like muslims.
The rest of the population either has no opinion or doesn’t express it like the AfD group does.
So to say that all of Germany is Islamophobic is WAY overstating the situation.
I would also note that when Syria’s civil war began, German welcomed hundreds of thousands of Syrian muslim refugees and let them settle and find jobs. (Part of AfD’s problem is that they didn’t like German letting in the Syrian refugees)
Bottom line: Your statement is not borne out by facts.
My sister and her family just spent 2 weeks in Berlin, and she was appalled at the open, aggressive antisemitism (shouting slurs in the street, etc.). Obviously, that’s not representative of the entire country, but she had never seen such open hatred.
That action, @syz, is thanks no doubt, to the gentle and polite Palestinian refugees residing in Germany.
I’m sure someone is Islamophobic, maybe he asked the question @elbanditoroso !

TW. Close. The op is “is*brown*aphobic.”
I stand corrected @MrGrimm888 and I see his laser sharp vision for the world, white male control.
^Now you’re getting it. White, Christian, male supremacy.
To no one’s surprise. That has been the republican creed for at least 80 years, maybe more.
Well, Germany has made it illegal to display the Palestinian flag or express any kind of support of Palestine, and they have arrested people for doing so. It’s important to remember that it hasn’t been that long since Naziism was the law of the land. Their historic anti-Semitism has in some cases morphed into a perverse “philo-Semitism”, which is really just an excuse to be anti-Islam.
@Demosthenes do you think that the palestinian attacks against Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics might have some effect on how Germans view Palestinians?
