Are there any economics YouTube videos that don't emphasize materialism?

Why does the western world economies focus on stuff and not other goals?

Yes there are. I looked up Non- materialistic economy and touched “videos” which brought a substantial list..
As for your second question, material values are much easier to measure and more interesting to most people. Non material values are more personal.
