Wall calendar users - do you change your month to August tonight (July 31) or in the morning (August 1)?

I haven’t had a wall calendar in over twenty years, but when I did, I always flipped it the first day of the month.

Tomorrow I might get confused tonight !

Tonight

Always on the first of the month. I love wall calendars wtth pictures that I can enjoy for a month. My favorites are art calendars and ones with beautuful scenery.

Some years back I started saving favorite calendars for reuse when the same pattern comes around again. There are only fourteen calendars, after all.

My mother ought to have won some sort of prize for extreme calendarism. She used to stack several wall calendars on one hook and rotate them during the month so she could have fresh images from week to week, from literary landmarks to fluffy kittens.

She might have three sets of calendar layers on the walls of one room.

I always knew what to get her for Christmas—with no fear of redundancy.

I never get ahead of myself this way. I always wait until the next day is guaranteed.

It is considered bad luck to flip to the new month before the old one is over. I will display August starting tomorrow morning.

I have a wall calendar up, but I am lucky when I remember to change it before a month passes.

Well, now that I’ve seen this Q, I’ll do it today (8/1). Otherwise, sometime in the first week, maybe.

I changed it too soon once, about 15 years ago, and I ended up mixing up my plans because I mistook the weekends.

An Italian woman I worked with told me that it’s bad luck to change it ahead of time, like @zen said, so I wait until the 1st or maybe the night before the 1st.

Wow, I have never heard of a superstition related to changing a calendar early. Or maybe Old Wives Tale.

This morning! I love wall calendars because all fanily appointments are in one place for all to reference. Had one my entire life.

If I’m lucky, it will be changed around the 5th or 6th.

I just cut the pictures off and hang them on my door.
