Do you usually buy a wedding gift as soon as you get the invitation, or you wait until very close to the wedding date?

Asked by JLeslie (65789points) August 1st, 2024

Do you usually procrastinate in buying a gift for a wedding or other big events, or do you get it out of the way ASAP?

Do you usually buy from the registry and do you care what item you buy, or do you just look for the right price point?

If you usually send money that is a little different, I am more focused on the gift giving from the registry list.

I wait until just before the event. And I usually choose from the registry something that is in the price range of what I plan to spend. I won’t buy an appliance, I would rather buy china or silver.

I choose from the registry immediately so I don’t forget.

Wait. Half of the engagements fall apart.

@elbanditoroso I actually considered that with this wedding I have coming up. Lol. I went ahead and sent the gifts though. Wedding is early October.
