How would you cook fresh octopus on a skillet?

A simple recipe if you have one. Thanks!

Melt a stick of butter until it’s sizzling.

Throw octopus on the skillet.

Also ad some unpopped popcorn.

Salt and pepper to taste.

Garlic is good too.

Do you have a whole, live octopus or just the tentacles? I found this recipe that sounded good. If it is a whole octopus, start at the top. If it is not a whole octopus I guess you could start where they have you cut up the tentacles.

^^Thanks jellies! I was happy reading your posts and eager to get home and try it until it dawned on me that I forgot to get the octopus from the office fridge. Slippery sucker.

The only thing I know about Octopus cuisine is that overcooking it turns it to rubber.
