Could you view a Whatsapp message without the person knowing?

Someone sent me a message on WhatsApp. I still have them on unread. I was wondering is there anyway to view it without them knowing. Not sure if it’s an attachment or just a message.

If you have someone you trust who uses Whatsapp, you could ask to test it with them.

Or, you could study an article on the subject, such as this one .
