Do you burn your fingers recovering the leftover bits from dropping KFC chicken or fries out of the gravy?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24986points) August 10th, 2024

Or do you leave it forever? Or hope that you use enough gravy to expose the chips or chicken?

Humor welcome.

Nope. My KFC is the worst place to eat in my area, so I don’t go there & I wouldn’t endanger my phalanges just to save a bite that’s for sure!!!

I may be in the minority here, but I don’t dip my chicken in gravy, or even the fries if I get them. And I do like KFC’s fries, not that I indulge in KFC that often. But if by chance I was using the gravy in that way, I would use a spork as suggested above.

@Tropical_Willie I just clicked on your link and I think that is the most ridiculous thing the KFC has ever come out with. I don’t know what’s wrong with using the regular sporks but I don’t need to wear them on my fingers.

I don’t eat KFC, but I’ve never dipped my chicken in gravy, it’s for the mashed potatoes, imo. Fries get ketchup. mmmmm

I’m surprised the gravy is hot enough to burn your fingers unless you microwave it yourself. That’s pretty damned hot! LOL

Besides I’m in the South so Texas Pete hot sauce is on the chicken at my table.

I just wanted to comment, on the likelihood that TDG is by far the leading question asker, regarding KFC.

I don’t often get KFC, but the one thing I would never be worried about is burning myself. It’s always cold, or old, or both.

Use a plastic fork big guy.

I worked at KFC for 2½ years back in the ‘70s.
I’m not afraid of burning my fingers.

I’m glad I don’t know what you’re talking about, and am afraid to find out.

I rarely visit a KFC but when I do I get chicken and fries but never gravy. The problem is my fingers get so greasy that paper napkins won’t absorb it and I have to wash my hands.

Is that why they give so much gravy? I thought it was only for the mashed potatoes.

^I think the “gravy” is just old oil, from a mechanics shop.

It’s the cheapest ingredient, so POUR IT ON…
