I am now engaged and moving to be with him this fall!
I’m here. I lurk sometimes, I add sometimes. Sometimes I ask. I try not to engage in politial debates, lately. Not worth the aggravation.

Things have been rough for me for a long time now, but right now, this minute, I’m okay. I wish we could boost the activity around here (within our own norms and customs), but I sure am glad we can meet at all.

Thank you everyone for the congrats. I am sure you all know that in some ways it is bittersweet. My fiance’ is of course well aware of Darth_Algar and embraces his memory.
I am very lucky.
My husband has recently been diagnosed with a terminal illness. We’ve already had “the chat” with the kids. He’s going downhill fast. I’m okay. God is good.

I’m very touched that so many of you guys responded! Thank you! That’s a real bright spot. He’s got Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Also, his back is totally trashed (every vertebrae is affected), and both conditions erupted at almost the same time, in February.
Our church has pitched in and is flying my daughter in Japan home to see her daddy. She is bringing her new baby for grandpa to meet.
^ We’re all family at this point. We’re here for you.
