What music video/s make you sad/cry?

Asked by anniereborn (15567points) 3 months ago

This may seem like a strange post. But I find emotional music videos to often be beautiful. Please put some kind of warning up if the video involves any kind of violence or abuse.

Mine would be Routine by Steven Wilson.
WARNING: school shooting is alluded to, but nothing is shown.

Wake me up inside by Amy Lee.

Also her music video where she says that the pain is too real.

Some Sailor Moon music.

Ozzy Osborne music about mental wounds not healing.

@RedDeerGuy1 I love Amy Lee! I think that second song you mean is “My Immortal”. That gets me every single time!

I’m not sure what Ozzy song it is. Probably several.
Good picks.

Also a music video maybe, (never say goodbye)
, that shows the ghost of a girls deceased father looking after her as she grows up.

This is a better version of When the Party’s Over. It’s live. Live is always better.

Martina McBride doing Independence Day or Concrete Angel. Warning both are about abuse/violence

Mike and the Mechanics doing The Living Years

@seawulf575 Oh goodness, The Living Years is a tough one. I will check out the others too.

Johnny Cash’s cover of NIN’s masterpiece Hurt is pretty incredible. The original is fantastic as well, but in a different way.

Too many to list, and I do mean list, but Tracy Chapman is one of my favorite singers as well as people…and you can’t go wrong with Mary Chapin Carpenter.

wanted to drop in and say howdy @anniereborn!

Well when I’m in the mood for crying, some XXXTentation does the job for me

Chris Cornell’s cover of Prince’s Nothing Compares 2 U gets me sometimes too.

^good one

@gorillapaws I prefer the Sinéad O’Connor version, but yeah, love that sad song.

For a bit of a different take on crying, Old City Bar by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It will choke you up.

Jesus Take the Wheel by Carrie Underwood. Not sad, but will touch you.

Metallica Unforgiven. Is sad. It reminds me of animals to be raised for slaughter. Never tasting freedom, from an uncaring world. If they can treat animals like that then whats to stop them from doing that to us. Raised to be a battery.

@RedDeerGuy1 Wow! I didn’t realize you felt like that. I am glad. Are you Vegan?

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

@anniereborn No. I tried going vegan in university, and lost 100 pounds. I almost died. When I went down to 129 pounds.

I am watching YouTube videos on raw veganism . I eat more fruit and veggies. I will get professional advice next time.

My number one is (1)DiMaio- Ave Maria di Caccini This is my most favorite. It does something that no other does. He sounds like an angel and stirs my soul and I always feel peaceful afterwards. Another one that I just love that I get lost in is Francis Goya, Daddy’s Bolero Brings back memories of my childhood. And Laura Pausini, Its not goodbye and not exactly last, but in my top 10 Rigoletto The curse
My song likes are varied and what I listen too depends on how I’m feeling. But I love the songs above because I can listen to them no matter how I feel at the moment.
