Have you tried Survival Tabs?
Did they taste OK?
Did they prevent hunger pains?

I’m NOT an outdoorsy type person, so NO need to try any of that stuff & don’t know what it taste like!!! When the shit hits the fan, my plan is to bend over & kiss my ass goodbye. Don’t think I’d last very long!!!
@LadyMarissa I am not an outdoorsy person either. I just want back up food in case the train strike in Canada goes longer. I have lots of canned food, and I would like to supplement my larder.
It sounds novel, and fun to play survivalist.
I found lots of review videos on YouTube.
The Survival Tabs are pricey, so I won’t be stocking up on them anytime soon.
Mostly I just want to know if the chocolate flavor is milk chocolate or dark chocolate?
Pay no attention to the train strike. The leaders in your town aren’t going to let anyone starve. Nor are the railroad workers – think of the bad publicity.
Do what you always do.
I agree with @elbanditoroso and was going to say something to that effect, but didn’t want you to take it as being dismissive. The strike just began on Thursday; you’ll be fine without spending all of that money. It’s expensive!
You’re going to be ok.
When the pandemic first started, I went out to Costco on both days (my first two days off of work) and I bought a 25 lb bag of rice for $20, a big box of containers of dried milk, and a big box of plastic containers for food. Then I went to Walmart and bought lentils. My thinking was I would be able to survive on rice and beans (lentils) and if I couldn’t get out, I’d have the dried milk for my coffee. Well, I was out multiple times per week to Costco and Walmart, buying food and all kinds of things. You’ll be fine.
I’ve never tried (nor do I know anyone that has) Survival Tabs. I’m not sure of all the nutritional value (for example, do they give enough protein?) and calories to survive long term on. Additionally, you might find yourself hungry all the time if you tried surviving on them. They might be an okay filler to the larder for a periodic short term coverage.
Seems like a nutritious snack but I’d get tired of eating them after the first dozen.
Update I called the company that makes them. They said that the chocolate flavored tabs are chocolate malt.
I wonder if you can combine survival tabs with high calorie rations? Like Daytrex survival food?
One is high in micro nutrients, and the other in macro nutrients.
I wish I had that much money just lying around! I’d use it for something like a vacay!
I am guessing there are better ways to get nutrition, along with fiber which is necessary for your gut, by eating vegetables, fruit, etc.
They prob last a long time without refrigeration, so are good for emergency food and maybe for backpacking. Still, it comes in a container with dozens of tabs. Too many of the same flavor for how I would use them.
