How often would you guess Trump talks to Vance directly?
My guess is that the schedulers and campaign people do some level of coordination. But for matters of policy and such, a direct 1-on-1 conversation would make more sense.
Do you think Trump and Vance talk directly? Or is Vance just sort of making stuff up as he goes along? (We know that’s what Trump does)

Wouldn’t it be interesting to be a fly on the wall for one whole week and watch how trump and Vance interact? Their handlers sure know what’s happening exactly between the two. As far as political campaigns go they are well coordinated. Trump goes desecrating a sacred ground and Vance defended him.
They seem to be doing parallel play.
My perspective is that “Trump talks at Vance”.
Are we certain that they’ve spoken at all?
Are we certain that 5th grade intelligence level men like these two know how to speak.
^They’re both really awkward, like they’re still in 5th grade.
Trump totally shit on Vance, by saying he essentially didn’t matter.
I doubt they have a different relationship, than a person and a automated taxi.
I guarantee their relationship is like that between a bully and his lackey.
@ragingloli I love your answer and I think it’s spot on,but ole orange hair will keep him close in case he has to throw him under the bus for something that the Don Father did.
Bet it is more often trump to Vance then trump to Melania !
I imagine they worked out what their strategies would be, what they would stress in speeches, how they would deal with the hostile press, etc. They probably touch base if not daily, then not much less frequently.
I guess often enough to ensure Vance marches in step with Trump’s populist agenda.
Facts about J. D. Vance’s life challenge the idea that everyone has a consistent personality.
Much has been made in the popular press and social media about the inconsistencies and changes in J. D. Vance’s life. For starters, Vance has changed his name numerous times over the 39 years of his life. But more important than name changes, in 2016 Vance referred to Donald Trump as “a cynical asshole,” “America’s Hitler,” and “cultural heroin.” That same year, he said, “I can’t stomach Trump,” “I find him reprehensible,” and “I’m a ‘Never Trump’ guy, I never liked him.” But by 2021, when he was preparing to run for the U.S. Senate, Vance began saying only positive things about Trump, who endorsed Vance in his campaign. As we all know, eventually Vance changed from a Never-Trumper to Trump’s vice-presidential running mate.
