Sometime in 1971, a Rolling Stone opinion piece asked this rhetorically derisive question: Why have we never seen Led Zep and Grand Funk Railroad together at the same time?
I think Zep resented the implication, and wrote StH to distinguish themselves from GFR and perhaps other derivative bands.
