Can any jellies in Vietnam please check in?

There’s been a massive typhoon that struck in the north. I’m hoping everyone is safe.

Wonder if she’s on Facebook and if any other jellies are friends of hers?

Hi everyone. I’m ok. My city isn’t affected at all. The typhoon only came to the North and I’m really far away in the Central area :P The reason why I’m so quiet is because I’m drowning in work right now. I have to finish grading some papers until Saturday.

I’m surprised the typhoon is known outside Vietnam. Usually nobody around the world knows about these things.

@Mimishu1995 I’m so glad you weren’t affected. I hear lots of news about other places in the Pacific Ocean.

Cảm ơn for replying so quickly to allay our fears!

From one image I saw of Yagi’s path, you’re about 400 KM south of its southern edge.

Did you have any damage from Haiyan?

@Hawaii_Jake thank you for caring to ask too :) Now I’m off to finish my work and hopefully I can have some free time to come back here :P

To be honest though, the typhoon was really scary. Several cities in the North are devastated. Severe flood, destroyed trees and buildings… One thing that really stuck with me is how some of the knocked down trees were actually a part of the region’s history. They were landmarks for the place. Some people literally grew up with the trees. And that was all destroyed in less than a day.

@Brian1946 it’s a long time since anyone talked about it. I almost forgot it existed. I don’t remember my house taking any serious damage. But then again people in my place are pretty used to storms because we have it frequently so we did some good preparation for it.

I was thinking about Mimi, when I heard about the storm.
Glad you’re OK Mimi.
