Do you share your concerns with elected politicians?
Just wondering.
Do you email or write letters to your representatives in government?

I don’t need to email or write letters. I live in a really small town where politicians still knock on your door to ask for your opinion. If they haven’t gotten to your door, we just walk in their office & ask for a brief convo. They are willing to listen if you don’t get too long or too crazy!!!
Yes, I have shared my opinions with my House representative several times.
He doesn’t answer at all.
He is a right wing, gun loving, MAGA, idiot whose political signs show an AK-47 on the sign. He is a Tea Party original member.
So no, he doesn’t listen to liberals.
One of our Congresspeople lives near by and I often run into him in the bakery and we chat sympathetically.
Yes, and I do it by calling. I call my state representatives. I also call my federal senators. I’ve heard that they give most weight to things people call about.
I recently asked a politician to his face at an event about a concern, with his wife next to him. I dont send letters or emails since we have lots of events and have access to them.
I have in the past, but really…why bother? They’re going to essentially do what they want in the end. I know I know…defeatist attitude, but that’s what I’ve learned about politics in my life.
I have in the past, but not as much as I should.
My little brother used to have an email relationship with Lindsay Graham. Graham seemed to be actually answering him.
Essentially, Graham made it clear, that he wouldn’t be changing his mind about anything, regardless of what his constituents want.
Personally. I can’t think of a bigger waste of time.
