If you can eat with it (check the label) then take it with some food. Drugs like Doxycycline for instance can make some people very nauseas on an empty stomach and literally no nausea with food.

If you weigh less than 150 make sure you aren’t being overdosed. Remember adult doses are so they are effective in men.

Look up the dose yourself to make sure your doctor isn’t giving you more than recommended.

Consider switching to another antibiotic. Sometimes there are multiple antibiotics that are very effective, sometimes there is on that is much superior, it depends on the particular infection.

You can try taking probiotics to help also.

Food when you take it, Ginger Ale sips and pickled ginger.

Make sure you are not taking anything that can upset the stomach like aspirin, if you must take it for fever, switch t coated aspirin.

Definitely, you should probably be talking them with a meal and lots of fluids.

If the side effects become too much, call the doctor who prescribed them, and see if they can use a different medication.
Typically, there are a couple-few different ones for most stuff.

Good luck.

^^Thanks for asking. And all jellies thanks so much!

It’s my friend’s 90 year old Dad with…prostatitis? Still on it. Ten days of amoxicillin 500 mg. Poor guy has dementia, aphasia and is blind. Fortunately he can still walk, vigilant assistance needed.

Is it Amox alone or Amox Clauvanate? If it has Clauvanate make sure the dr didn’t prescribe it too often in a 24 hr period.

^^Asked and yes it’s that kind. Morning and evening 12 hrs apart.

That’s good.

That is harsh on the tummy for a lot of people. It happens to be my magic medication for an infection I couldn’t get diagnosed. Hopefully, it takes care of the infection and he doesn’t have to take anything else. There are other drugs for it, but I think the best one they probably don’t give to elderly patients.

It’s better than prostate cancer!
