Why don't trustworthy shopping sites have such cute, unique things that we see on scam sites?

I keep seeing things I would love to have, but they are only offered on scam/unreliable sites.

It’s a good question to which I don’t have the answer. I often see really cute tops and dresses on FB but I’ve never heard of the brands or the sellers so I would not buy them. I don’t know if they’re scams but I expect the goods are not as promised.

It is called a Phishing Site. What looks to good, just isn’t.
Many are also trying to get credentials from you along with other nefarious action.

I know! I hate that. If I’m not sure about a site I check it out on trustpilot – a very good site that reveals ratings from people and scams.

A friend bought a sweater that was advertised on FB, a few years ago. She said the sweater she received looked nothing like what was in the photograph. I remember the sweater in the photograph, because at the time it was shown very often in ads, a mossy green, nice stitching, etc. I didn’t see the item she received, but I remember it took about a month to arrive because it had to be shipped from somewhere overseas, and she was mad because she said it looked like garbage. I don’t remember if she got her money back.

At the time, I said, and I say now, this is why I only buy from legit sites, like Costco, or a store’s site, or Amazon. Even if things are sold on Amazon, and if they’re from a third party seller, I’ve found that for the most part they’re not terrible quality because they don’t seem to want bad reviews and if they’re going to go through the trouble of selling there, it seems like the stuff is halfway not too bad, if that’s an endorsement lol. I typically try to buy from Amazon as the seller when I buy on Amazon, though. I also buy from Costco, and Walmart, (using Walmart at the seller, not a third party site). Just whereever you shop from, it’s best not to use these scam sites.

Because scam sites don’t need to deliver. They exist to scam you of your payment info,
