When you go to a semi-formal or formal event, do you try to coordinate with your significant other?

I’m going to a wedding at the end of the week and I have selected the dress for the event. Today, my husband was pulling together his attire which consisted of a black suite, white shirt, and then it came to the tie. I felt like I wanted his tie to sort of coordinate with my dress. Not matchy matchy, but not clash.

Do you try to coordinate with your SO or your date for a fancy party?
