Are you of aware of any app or script that will correct all British spellings in a Word document to American spellings?
I mean words like ‘behaviour’ to ‘behavior’ and ‘colour’ to ‘color’. (and dozens more terms that follow that pattern)
I’m not looking to change ‘lift’ to ‘elevator’ or ‘loo’ to ‘bathroom (or ‘arse’ to ‘ass’).
Is there some automated way to do this, or is it a manual effort?

You could change spell check to British English or UK English, whatever they call it on your computer. If it’s a big document that could take a lot of time to go through it all.
Also, do “find” for ou, that’s the most often seen difference, but also double L, for travelled vs traveled as an example. Judgement needing to be judgment wouldn’t be caught by either find examples, but should be caught by the spellcheck.
Either way, or even with a special app, you would have to read the entire document over again to make sure it is perfect.
Sure, of course I would proofread.
What I am after is a way to do this in an automated way. I don’t want to go through 400 files entering terms one my one.
I think there are AI apps for translation. I’ve never used them.
It is already correct, so there is no reason to change it.
