What's a typical Sunday morning like for you?
The cat woke me early demanding food, so I obliged. I made myself a cup of tea and cleared my email and checked some things on the internet including Fluther. I sat and thought some. I did a quick meditation. Finally, I ate a bit of salad.

I get up, put on my comfy robe, get the Times and make my tea and toast. Then I read the paper or a book and eat on my reading chair in the den until it’s time to get dressed and go to the Meeting House for services.
Laundry and housecleaning. Sometimes bagels first, if my daughter wants to go get them.
My wife uses Sunday morning for grocery shopping.
Take my thyroid pill. Maybe have something to eat, maybe not. Zumba at 10:00 am.
Even though I don’t work, Sunday is my day off. I give myself permission to binge tv, nap, bead, ‘nother nap or anything I feel like doing minus the guilt.
Hot coffee and the New York times crossword puzzle
Switch on radio. Switch off again if it’s broadcasting a religious service. Check weather from my window. Pour oats and milk into a bowl and orange juice into a glass and eat. Make a cup of tea and peel a banana. So far so good. Prepare to be depressed and switch on the television news. .
Sleeping. I got up at about 3 PM today.
Go to a mom & pop restaurant with omelets and eggs, several cups of coffee.
If I’m not packing up from a camping trip I’m usually drinking coffee and watching Meet The Press.
I’ll get up anywhere between 8 and 10, and I’ll put coffee on. I’ll watch the CBS Sunday Morning Show and then Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan. I’ll watch Food Network after that. While I’m watching TV, I’ll be drinking coffee and also on the laptop looking at social media. I don’t usually eat until after about four cups of coffee, so probably around 12 I’ll eat something, maybe yogurt or a bagel or cereal with fruit.
We used to watch Primal Grill
Most Sundays I go for breakfast with a good friend and we spend an hour solving the world’s problems and appreciating the small miracles of life. Like tater tots. A marvelous invention that highlights the emotional value of cute food.
Sleep until Monday. Or listen to Cross Country Check Up on CBC radio. Maybe classical music on radio or YouTube.
I love that description…“cute food”!
Coffee and political programs. Brunch usually around 11am.
I generally get up around 9:30, get dressed, have breakfast and see to the cats. And then I’m off to church. However, they now have a Sunday evening service at 5:00 so sometimes if I’m really tired because I didn’t sleep well the night before or something, I will sleep in a bit more and go to the evening service.
In general though, Sunday is my day of rest so I try not to make myself do anything I don’t feel like doing. That doesn’t mean I won’t do any chores, but it’s more of a, if I don’t feel like doing something, I allow myself to have the next day to do it. Same thing with my crafts. I’m doing a craft show in December and time is flying by. But I only work on them on Sundays if I’m in the mood to. I think it’s good to have a day where you can give yourself permission not to feel obligated to do a bunch of things.
