I’ll take any genre but would prefer something lighthearted. I need some rain right now.

A Rainy Day in New York. Not a lot of rain just some but the main character deeply feels rain is romantic.
Singin in the Rain
A Man and a Woman ( with Anouk Aimee and Trigninant )
Might not have enough actual rain but the overall ambiance pervading in that film always gave me the feeling that it was “raining.” Maybe that is why it’s my top favorite romantic film.
Bladerunner
Not light in story but rain played a big part of why it’s my top favorite sci-fi film.
I think Jurassic Park was very rainy. Does anyone else remember it that way?
All Summer in a Day is one of the most well known short stories by Ray Bradbury, we’ve probably all read it or seen it as children. Sad and mean though. of course the sun coming out is an important part of the movie. Here it is: https://youtu.be/vHkU-5mUA48?feature=shared
Forrest Gump has a few rainy scenes and is such a great movie. If you have never seen it I highly recommend it. Mostly funny with some serious parts and many reflection on historical events.
Godzilla 1998. Lots of tongue in cheek humor, much rain, silly monster stuff.
Here’s a lighthearted TV movie with about 1.5 minutes of meta rain- Crime Story.
If you can stream Tubi, they have a whole list of channels that are rain storms, ocean sounds, and other channels designed to help you sleep. They aren’t bad.
If you are looking for light hearted movies don’t generally have a lot of rain in them. Rain is used to set a dark and gloomy mood. The Crow, Blade Runner, Identity, Dark City, Shutter Island all have a lot of rain in them.
Hidden Figures did have that fun scene in it where the poor woman had to run across the compound in the rain to use the bathroom, but that was really just one scene. Sweet Home Alabama had a couple scenes with rain. Enchanted had a couple rain scenes as well.
I fourth or fifth Singing in the Rain. Delightful movie.
I think Chucky Sheen’s new movie, Tornadoes of Truth, is some fun, wacky, meteorologically motorized Mulholland madness! ;-D
Blade Runner is probably the rainiest movie ever.
Identify is great twisty murder mystery. People die in awful ways but it’s often off screen and not super gory.
OOPS! typo above. Identity.
^^Inventive twist on Identity. I like it when I’m unable to guess right what’s really happening. Sometimes I do. See it coming minutes before the reveal.
