What is a moisture farmer?

Sounds like they are capturing water out of the air or ground e.g. https://bigthink.com/articles/moisture-farming-straight-out-of-star-wars-could-be-here-on-earth/ however, they never show any tanks of water leaving their farm.

Tatooine is not unlike Dune. It’s largely too hot for water to condense naturally but there is plenty in vapor form that can be harvested by creating artificial conditions that allow it to condense and be collected. Those devices speak in a binary language similar to load lifters. You can do cool things with them, but that requires special power converters and it can be hard to find time when you’re a busy moisture farm hand to go into town and procure them.
