Can you train an attack frog to eat bugs in your apartment?

You don’t have to train frogs to eat bugs.

But hopefully for you, you don’t have enough bugs and other frog-friendly conditions in your apartment, to support them doing well there.

Teaching the Amazonian attack frog to eat bugs is the easy part. Stopping it from dismembering your household pets and going on a destructive rampage is far harder. Fitting the beast with an electric collar may work but men have been severely injured in the attempt. The only long term solution to this non-existent problem is to deport all 50 million of them back to the Amazon.

There is some kind of lizard that people keep as pets that I heard will eat roaches. Not sure what kind it is.

The down side is that these pets that belong in tanks are expensive and need specific things regarding food and heat.

Yes. The Cat Frog, is adept at pest control.
Please rescue one, from a local shelter.
