What do you do if you have a dental emergency in the middle of the night on a Sunday?
Do you call 911? Or take a Tylenol and wait until the dentist office opens?
I’m just planning ahead. No emergency for me at this time.

Take a Tylenol or Advil and wait until the morning. I’m very glad this isn’t an emergency for you right now.
I call my dentist at home. She’s a neighbor.
If it were really an emergency, requiring immediate action, I’d go to the ER. If it can wait until morning with the help of an OTC painkiller, it’s not an emergency.
If you have a dentist, ask them.
In many areas there are 24 hour dentists. Check around.
For pain I use a topical liquid called “ANBESOL” (with benzocaine) or Walgreens brand equivalent. Also I use ibuprofen. If those two don’t cut the pain down to tolerable levels then I’ll take oxytocin narcotic (left over from previous oral surgery) and go to sleep.
Depends on the dentist. In my dental office there are 4 dentists and one is always on call.
Update from December 21 to today (December 30)
I had dental issues. I saw the dentist today. She prescribed antibiotics and pain killers. Most of the pain is gone, and its hard to eat. She says that I need a root cannal, and she can’t do it until my infection is cleared off.
