To those who have had sinus infections, have you tried massaging your face?
And if so, did it help?
Not looking for medical advice whatsoever.
I am just curious, massaging my cheek where it is sore helps it feel good, but is not doing a lot in terms of drainage like the youtube videos were saying. Somewhat, but I think the videos are exaggerated.
Just asking for your own personal experience. If you have tried this, did you notice any results?

Sinus infections are horrible, you have my sympathy. I haven’t really tried massaging but applying a warm face flannel seemed to help.
When I have had sinus infections, massaging my face never did much. I understand the idea: apply pressure to the sinus cavities to help push out some of the infection. But that isn’t really treating the infection and the pain will just recur.
I have believed in natural cures as much as possible for quite a while now. I created a medicinal salsa to help beat those nasty sinus infections. Lots of garlic, lots of onion, lots of sweet peppers and even more hot peppers is the key to it. The garlic and onions have lots of sulfa in them which is a natural antibiotic. Peppers have a lot of vitamin C to help your immune system. The heat from the hot peppers will help open your sinus passages and stimulate the drainage of them. What other ingredients you add to this mix is really up to you. I get creative for flavors. When you make it, eat as much as you can stand (it should be HOT from the peppers), let your mouth cool down and then eat some more.
Do it if it feels good. It’s natural to touch an area of your body that has discomfort or pain. Touch typically lowers your blood pressure and is calming.
If you are uncomfortable you can take an antihistimine or decongestant if you don’t have any medical reasons that you shouldn’t take them.
Test for covid.
If it isn’t covid, if it lasts more than a week you probably need an antibiotic.
Thanks all.
Not correlating the two, probably is just coincidence. But interestingly enough, I did some massages, took a hot shower, did more before bed.
I woke up this morning and I do not feel as much pressure and I blew my nose a lot and I feel better.
Not connecting the two- again I doubt massaging truly did anything just thought it was funny.
Glad you feel better. Take care.
