Do you prefer slimy hand soap or foaming?
I feel like somebody has to have something a little wrong with their brain to like the sensory nightmare that is slimy hand soap.

I wouldn’t necessarily describe it as wrong, but I would argue that a neurodivergent brain is more likely to have sensory issues around soap.
I like regular hand soap (what you call slimy hand soap). I feel like foaming soap doesn’t really put that much soap onto the hands. It’s all air.
I’m not crazy about the foaming hand soap. But I don’t find the other type slimy at all and that is my preference.
I’m going to call it smooth hand soap and I prefer it to the foaming type as it is more effective.
Bar soap. None of that liquid crap.
Foaming soap just feels “off”
I prefer a bar or foam. Foam is fun!
A related question I asked about a year and a half ago:

I’m a big fan of soap and scents. I bring a small bottle of liquid soap in my handbag for public bathrooms. I don’t always use it, depending on what kind of soap they have. Industrial scent type of soap, like at a fast food place like McDonalds, I can’t stand, so I will use my own. I’m also not a fan of anti-bacterial soap, although I’m not opposed to it as long as it smells nice.
Either is fine but probably non-foaming liquid hand soap in kitchen and bath, bar soap and body wash in showers.
I could not do bar soap. That is slimy and germy in my opinion.
I am sad that I am so far in the minority :(
Bar soap is actually much more sanitary than liquid soap in a container, because it is self-cleaning and there is nothing between you and it that might contaminate your hands after use. Js
Yeah, my brain will not recognize that
Is regular liquid hand soap what you mean by slimy? The one that is similar to dish soap? That’s what I like. It foams up as you rub your hands together with water.
I don’t like the the soap that comes out as foam from the start. It feels like air, feels less cleansing to me. My assumption is it costs more in the end, but I’ve never have done the math.
I miss the powdered soap that used to be popular in the 1970s.
It starts out as abrasive, then becomes soft. And no slime.
I second the wish for @Kraigmo’s hand soap. I can’t stand liquid-or any-hand soap that leaves a fragrance on my hands (just eww!) and leaves my hands sticky before they are completely dry (another eww!). These days I scrub my hands with baking soda and a little water.
