Wow! I hadn’t heard that but then I’ve had a crazy day, including over sleeping by 2 and ½ hours so that I then got to work later and had to stay later. I have no idea who he would pick.

Well. He owes Aileen Cannon his EVERYTHING.
I’m sure she was surprised, that Gaetz was Trump’s first choice.

Cannon was stupid/corrupt enough to help Trump for her own gain before.
Perhaps Trump will overlook her ,because she is a female.
But she could be just as loyal, so I think he should give her a chance.

Although, EVERY single pick of Trump’s that isn’t a white male, will have to be considered a DEI hire. And his supporters should never forget, that if it wasn’t for Jesus (a dude) Trump would have been killed thanks to the incompetence of his DEI Secret Service agents.

After the months long temper tantrum conservatives threw, over Harris being a DEI hire, it seems just as relevant in this discussion about appointed presidential cabinet members.

Trump has hired men, women, etc. But that doesn’t make a DEI hire. “I’m only going to hire a woman of color” would be an example of a DEI hire. You know, like what Biden did when he chose Kamala as his running mate. So me a single person that he hired strictly because of their race, sex, religion, etc.
