Can you help me find a good online template for a resume or CV?
I am applying to be a member of a board of directors for a local home for autistic individuals. I have the position, but I need a resume or a CV for for board as a formality. I haven’t actually applied for a job in decades. I have a very old one, but it doesn’t format correctly.
I have all the information I need to put on it. I just want a good format. I’ve looked at the Microsoft Word templates and they’re more for one page resumes, rather than academic CV templates.
Any ideas?

The easiest way is to grab a MS Word template. I know you looked but the “modern multi-page resume” appears to be what you’re looking for. You have to “search online” for it.
My husband used an AI program called Gemini to make his new resume. He was converting it from chronological to skill so it would be shorter. I wonder if that would help you?
@Blackwater_Park Thanks. I’ll put in those search results.
@JLeslie Gemini is the Google AI. I tried a couple of others but didn’t try that one. The issue for me is not organizing the information but formatting it. I know exactly what I will be putting in it.
I have not found a CV template. Many universities have an online style guide that includes ordered headings and sub-headings (Clinical/Research appointments, Grant Funding, Publications, Invited Presentations, National and International Presentations, Local Presentations, Teaching, Awards, Media, Service to Profession, etc.). Harvard’s is very detailed, although I prefer reverse chronological order.
Perhaps you have a colleague who would share theirs with you.
I’d be willing to send you mine and you could replace the info with yours, if you’d like. But mine is not clinical and I’m early career.
Hi all, thanks for everything. I ended up reformatting an old CV that I had written 15 years ago. It isn’t perfect, but it was good enough.
@Caravanfan Can I ask, were they advertising for a board member? I’m just asking, because I think my husband could maybe apply for board member positions, but I wouldn’t even know where to start,
@JLeslie No. It was a personal recommendation.
