Has a lawyer ever asked for a charge to be dropped because the client did not have her/his morning coffee when committing a crime?
Serious and humor answers welcome.
Also add any weird reasons tried to drop a charge?

This sounds very familiar. Maybe check your question list in addition to asking it now.
@smudges The previous question was deleted.
Not exactly the same, but it is in the same category:
The Orangutan, in his civil rape trial, claimed he could not have raped Jean Carrol because she was “not his type”.
@Jeruba Thanks. Answers like yours are a perfect example of what I am looking for. @ragingloli Too. Thanks.
Caffeine is a pretty strong drug. Too much of it can affect some people adversely. Can cause heart arrhythmias in some people and in some to be irritable and rude.
Some people can get quite dependent on it. Perhaps addicted it. I’ve heard some indicate that they can’t function well without coffee.
Perhaps a defense attorney would put up a good debate that withdrawal from caffeine could in fact cloud the mind and judgment of an individual. Causing such individual to make poor decisions and even do illegal actions.
I sort of remember a case like this regarding coffee. But I may be thinking of the McDonald’s case.
