Did you score any Black Friday deals?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (25018points) 1 month ago

I controlled myself and only ordered groceries. I wanted some books, and restrained myself. One book the library had, so I saved money.

Also KFC had two for one buckets, and I made pork Chops and veggies. I saved $60.

Yeah, Land’s End clothes were 55% off. Good cotton T-shirts for $14, etc. Better than their usual sale prices.

I managed to save quite a bit of money by not buying anything.

@Zaku Lands End has 60% off everything today (Saturday), promotion code TODAYONLY60.

A few years ago, I told friends let’s not exchange Christmas presents, since none of us need anything and if we do, we buy it. I have been buying myself some clothes at Costco, but nothing Black Friday. Today (Saturday), I went to Walmart with my daughter and got her a few things – some dinosaur Lego sets and stuff like that, but it wasn’t a Black Friday sale.

A bunch of stuff we intended to get anyway, yes. Probably saved $300.

I bought a vacuum machine for sous vide, and some soundcore a20 sleepbuds. But I didn’t even think of african american friday when I ordered them. It just occured to me afterwards.

I got some good items off of Amazon. I was determined not to buy any books either but there were two different volumes of the History of Middle Earth that I had had on my wish list for a while. They normally retail for about $15.99 but they were on sale for $7.00! And then when I went to look at the item, there was a $4 coupon on each one of the books that I could use so I ended up getting them brand new for $3! I couldn’t pass that up. There was also a pair of boots that I saw and liked a week or two before the Black Friday sales started but I waited and then got them for about $40 instead of $55. So I’m happy.
