This year I had a bit of a windfall, so I am helping out in a hyperlocal fashion. I bought coats at Costco (deeply discounted) and gave them to a local coat drive. I donated $$ to our local shelter/soup kitchen/outreach program group. I give supermarket gift cards to the food banks (they’ll get a better discount).
