I niominate the word “curated.” I’ve seen it in everything from bedding to chocolates. So sick of it.

From what I understand it’s been used a lot this year in the media.
I’m probably too out of touch with popular culture to make a decent nomination, but I am noticing the proliferation of the word “sweet” in soft news items, especially those about the royal family. It seems almost extraneous in some instances, as if the writers had a checklist to complete so they just stuck it in.
Otherwise, I think I might pick “divide” in its several forms: divided, divisive, division, etc.
