You can make a free Adobe account and use Adobe Firefly for free, with access to much of the functionality. It’s a prompt driven, AI image generator that only draws from Adobe Stock, not the entirety of the internet.

You can use NightCafe for free. I’ve used it quite a bit.

Silly idea but how about asking a real artist to draw something for you?

I don’t know if this is what you’re looking for, but I get ads for Adobe Illustrator which looks very good and they have a free trial.

ChatGPT should be able to make free drawings just as it answers questions for free.

No prob they’re first gen AI engines with all the problems of hand mangling but free is free.

I don’t know what hand mangling is, but all I really wanted was color and effect. It’s one thing to say “you see a fractured gate with purple glowy fungus that is 30 feet high and spits out mist” and another thing to see a picture of it.

@Blackwater_Park Oh, with the AI drawings, I get it. No, I mostly just want it for scenery and even then it’s just for color and effect. There is nothing that will happen that is game mechanic critical, and since they’re going against mostly demons and the like a bit of hand mangling won’t be any big deal.
