Can you suggest a replacement for the MyYahoo HomePage ?
I have been using MyYahoo’s Homepage as my start page for years. I customized it to show headlines and stories from various news sources as well as financial, science, and weather information. I am not interested in Entertainment, Lifestyle, TV, etc. so they do not display.
Unfortunately, all good things must end and Yahoo decided to cancel the Homepage and replace it with “More Of What I Want to Know.”
Do you use a Homepage? Can you please suggest a replacement for it?

I use Bing. Every day there’s a new photo and you can download it and use it for your screenshot. Today is red fisherman’s cabins in Norway. Like others, you can use settings to personalize your page.
The think I like most, and which caused me to switch to Bing, is that there’s not a lot of headlines jumping out at you, it’s just the photo. Headlines can trigger me so I really appreciate a homepage that doesn’t do that.
From that page, I click on the + sign to open Microsoft Edge and that’s where I set up the topics I like. Again, there’s no ads.
I’m on Windows and I just always have my regular tabs open – no home page.
@janbb Oh, yeah, that too. I tend to keep hundreds of tabs open, and have the browsers set to restore previous session, so I only see the “Home” page when I open a new window, so I want that blank or else I’d be distracting myself even more every time I went to look for something in a new tab.
Washington Post is my start page.
I think @LuckyGuy is seeking more of a customizable, malleable option where he can control what he wants, as opposed to a replacement like Wash Post or some of the other ones.
@zaku has the right idea- you can make your own (local) HTML pages and then add as desired.
A long long time ago, Google had a similar ‘personal home’ page like Yahoo, but that went away 15 years ago.
I just carefully manage my bookmarks
Knowing you, I would start with your Garmin page. Review your stats and set the course of your day.
It’s a swing in the opposite direction in terms of customization, but you might find refdesk.com an interesting change of pace.
Yahoo was also my home page. I particularly liked being able to have the bookmarks conveniently located on the left, ready to be selected. I don’t understand why they changed.
This is great info! Thanks! i liked having about 6–10 news sources feed the same info. I found it interesting to see how they interpret the same facts. And it prepares me for discussions with my elderly neighbor who only listens to Fux and Epuch.
i will check out a few of these suggestions.
