If you need to think about it, then you should.
It’s a good idea to wash hands after using a public restroom.
Oh yes! Before, during and after!
If I’m out and I feel like my hands are dirty, or if I’m in a restaurant and I feel like I have food on my hands, I’ll wash them prior to going to the bathroom and always after using the bathroom, no matter where i am.
If I’m just going #1, I barely touch anything.
I wash my hands, with soap (if provided,) and if there are paper towels for drying my hands, I take that towel and use it to open the restroom door so I don’t have to touch that on the way out, and then throw the paper towel away elsewhere.
If I’ve been doing something with my hands, that I don’t want on my genitals, then I wash before.
I had a rather funny to everyone but me incident, where I was hand mixing some hot sauce with ghost peppers for a meal.
I washed my hands afterwards, then went to the restroom.
I came back in the kitchen, and I noticed a tingling on my (yep.)
As there were people around, I didn’t act on the tingling in my crotch. After a minute or so more, the tingling became burning. My mind was racing with WTF could possibly be going on.
It became insufferable and I had to wash my…self…in the kitchen sink. I realized it must have been the ghost peppers, and I guess I should have washed my hands more thoroughly before using the restroom.
I have to thank the makers of Dawn, for saving my junk. Even if it was a public embarrassment…
