Or is it tongue in cheek?

Can you list one that Isn’t a lair? From any time in history to any political party?

It is true. All politicians are liars. But then, all humans are liars and politicians are humans. Barely.

Not necessarily, if you are being specific about them lying in their roles as politicians. The majority of politicians in small, local, positions are doing it because they believe in public service to their communities.

Congressman Jamie Raskin and Senator Chris Murphy are not liars IMHO. I would never make a blanket statement like that.

This question reminds me that some politicians will lie under oath and lie to the US Congress. So it’s no problem for any or all of them to lie to the U.S. citizens.

If the public could accept the truth then politicians wouldn’t have to lie.

Some definitely are ,others are just great exaggerators they just take the truth and stretch it to the point of almost being a lie.

No. I am the treasurer for two county-wide candidates in Chicagoland. Both see the office as an opportunity to use their proven skills to help the community.

Stating something as all or nothing makes an answer impossible.

I agree Jamie Raskin is honest, and very principled.
