I tried searching and did not find her, but she might not have used her real name either on here or on Facebook. I kind of doubt that though.

And yes, I can try to find the DMs but I thought she was 60s? Her and I talked a lot I feel.

Ok, I just have to ask. I see “DM” frequently and in other places and don’t know what it means. I can’t tell from context.

I just searched in the FB group for search terms “lady” and “marissa” and I looked at the post where people identified themselves with their jelly name but I don’t see her in that group. it’s possible she’s in it and I missed her identifying herself because the FB search can be sucky, but I tried to be thorough, searching 2018 (when she joined here), 2019 and 2020.

@smudges DM means “direct message” like we say “PM”.

and PM is personal message.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this is why it’s helpful to for other Jellies to have your contact info (email address, or being FB friends, or phone/text info), just in case you stop coming around, at least others can know that you’re ok. Even though we argue a bit here, we’re a small intimate island in the big ocean that’s the internet, and we are kind of like a family.

I think of past jellies, some who left voluntarily or involuntarily, and some who are now deceased, and I think fondly of their contributions here. The ones who left without anyone knowing what happened, it’s kind of sad, because we don’t know if they died, or they just got sick of the site, or they got pissed at something, or they ended up in a nursing home, or what.

There is someone on here who has my number or at least did at one point. But I am also on Facebook

@jca2 I agree with you about leaving contact information with someone. I just had my 17th anniversary of joining Fluther and I know you’ve been here longer. The majority of those of us who are still around have been here 15–18 years. It’s amazing! We are a small dysfunctional internet family who cares what happens to its members.
